New manufacturing has become an important driving force for a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. Optimizing production efficiency in the case of only moving data and not touching production lines is a goal that many manufacturing industries hope to achieve.
Recently, China Grinding is doing a special topic on abrasive grinding equipment production. We interviewed some mechanical manufacturing companies. While recognizing the power of intelligent manufacturing, we also pointed out that it is not easy to popularize intelligent equipment.
The overall strength of the abrasives industry is still not strong enough. In particular, some small and micro enterprises are struggling on the edge of life and death in a depressed market environment, and it is even more impossible to replace high-end equipment.
Intelligent equipment requires high-demand supporting facilities, such as high-standard production environment, high-tech talents, and high-standard production materials... This is not available in many abrasives and abrasives companies.
From the point of view of mechanical manufacturers, in order to make intelligent equipment, it is necessary to cooperate with the abrasives and abrasive enterprises to understand the actual needs. The process of cooperation is also long.
Even if there are sophisticated intelligent equipment available to abrasives companies, abrasives companies have sufficient funds to purchase, they will not replace them, because the existing equipment production efficiency, labor costs, and even environmental costs are considered. If the company is still profitable by a combination of factors, then they will not easily spend higher prices to purchase production equipment. Perhaps only when the overall cost is higher than the cost of using intelligent equipment, the abrasives industry can truly enter the era of intelligent production.
